Job summary

Operose Health Ltd. is seeking a friendly Receptionist/Administrator for The Potteries Surgery to welcome patients and support front-desk workflows.

You will handle appointments, maintain confidentiality, use MS Office, and liaise with the primary care team to ensure smooth patient access and accurate records. Part-time, 15 hours weekly, with pro rata benefits.

Qualifications

  • Reception or customer care experience is essential.
  • Basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidentiality and data security.
  • Previous experience in the NHS is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to patient queries and liaising with the wider primary care team, managing appointment requests, signposting patients to services and maintaining patient records and confidentiality.
  • Emailing, scanning and coding clinical correspondence.
  • Processing prescriptions requests.
  • Utilising other information systems to support efficient workflow processes.

Salary:Up to £24,960.00 depending on experience

Hours:15 hours a week

Main Responsibilities:

Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:

Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written. Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email. Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security. Previous experience of working in the NHS is welcome but not essential.
