Job summary

CVS Vets is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist at our Trowbridge practice. The role focuses on welcoming clients, handling calls, scheduling appointments, and processing insurance forms. You will work in a team dedicated to putting pets first and delivering excellent client care.

The position offers a permanent contract, 40 hours per week, with a varied rota including weekends. A supportive CVS Vets network and staff perks accompany the opportunity to grow within the veterinary group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist or in a demanding, client-focused role is a must; experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus.
• Resilience and the ability to handle emotional situations with kindness and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills paired with genuine empathy.
• Outstanding customer service skills and experience with the public.
• Positive attitude and superior teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage Communication: Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Inquiries Resolution: Respond to queries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism.
• Client Reception: Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Insurance Management: Process and manage insurance forms adeptly.
• Medication Distribution: Dispense medications as required.
• Financial Transactions: Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Emotional Support: Provide empathy and understanding to clients during distressing times, while maintaining professionalism.
• System Utilisation: Organise patients using the in-house system efficiently.
• Inter-practice Communication: Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs and queries.
• Debt and Refund Management: Make necessary phone calls regarding debts, belongings, and refunds.
• Client Care: Above all, ensure that every client feels welcomed and valued at our practice.

At Harris, Hill and Gibbons Veterinary Centre, we make pets a priority every day!

Role Details:

Location: 6 Paxcroft Way, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 7DG

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday on a varied rota, including a share in the Weekend rota.

The shift pattern will provisionally be 12.00 - 21.00 over 5 days or 10.00 - 21.00 over 4 days
