Job summary

The Arts Club in London seeks a proactive Reception team member to be the friendly voice of the Club. You will welcome members and guests, manage reservations, answer calls and emails, and guide guests to reserved tables while upholding club policies.

You should have experience in high-volume hospitality or private clubs, be proficient with SevenRooms/OpenTable and sign-in systems like Salesforce or Dynamics, and demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and the ability to multitask in

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Collaborate with the receptionist/reservations team and handle all enquiries professionally and courteously via telephone, email, and at the reception desk.
• Answer and direct calls according to department standards.
• Take and relay messages with warmth and efficiency.
• Host and escort members to their reserved tables throughout the Club.
• Manage all incoming reservations calls, maximizing covers at all times.
• Handle emails, confirm reservations, and manage bookings.
• Be familiar with function sheets for the FOH and reception.
• Understand cancellations and no-shows in line with company policy.
• Stay up-to-date with the current music programme, art, and members’ events to provide information to members while maximizing booking opportunities.
• Fulfil all reasonable requests from members to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.

About the role:

Our Reception team is the ‘voice’ of the Club, providing excellent, warm, and friendly service to our members and their guests. Ensuring strong member recognition at all times is crucial, and working closely with the rest of the team to uphold current booking policies, club rules, and by-laws.

In a nutshell:
