Overview

Here at Basingstoke Leisure Centre our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team, and right now we are looking to recruit for a Receptionist to join the centre.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for customers. Provide concise information and service regarding the facility and its offerings.
  • Handle a high level of customer interaction face to face, via email, and over the telephone.
  • Assist other staff members when required.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities and benefits.
  • Process cash and maintain customer records with a good telephone manner and competence in using IT systems.
  • Support a busy environment with experience in customer service; sales experience is desirable if possible.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in dealing face to face with customers in a busy environment.
  • Good communication and customer care skills; ability to work under pressure with calmness and maturity.
  • Ability to handle cash and maintain customer records; confident with using IT systems.
  • Desirable: customer service qualifications.
