Job description

A school in Oxford is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and creative Reception Teacher to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in the crucial first stage of a child's education in a warm and supportive environment.

Duties as a Reception Year Teacher:

1. Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the EYFS Framework
2. Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom where children feel safe and excited to learn
3. Promote learning through play, exploration, and structured activities
4. Work closely with Teaching Assistants and parents to support each child's development
5. Maintain accurate assessments using tools such as Tapestry or other EYFS tracking systems

Ideal Reception Year Teacher:

1. QTS and experience teaching in Early Years (Reception preferred)
2. A deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
3. Warm, engaging and highly organised, with a child-centred approach
4. Skilled at building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
