Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class at one of our partner primary schools in Halesowen. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and running until the end of the academic year.

You will provide general classroom support, assist pupils with SEND and deliver Read Write Inc phonics interventions to develop early reading and literacy skills. The school offers a safe, stimulating environment.

Qualifications

• TA Level 2 or 3 qualification.
• Experience in Reception or Early Years in a UK primary school.
• Experience delivering phonics interventions, ideally Read Write Inc.
• Good understanding of EYFS curriculum and SEND support.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support within Reception, assisting the class teacher with daily activities.
• Support pupils with SEND, adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Deliver targeted phonics interventions using Read Write Inc to develop early reading skills.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support communication, literacy and early development.
• Encourage independence, positive behaviour and engagement through practical and play-based learning.
