Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD is seeking a Reception Teacher for an immediate start in Harrow and Wealdstone. You will deliver a play-based EYFS curriculum and lead the seven areas of learning, with a strong focus on systematic phonics for early reading.

You will work with a teaching assistant, SENCO and families to support all children, including SEND and EAL learners, ensuring progress from their starting points.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and experience in Reception or Nursery within a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters.
• Confidence delivering systematic synthetic phonics and early reading programmes.
• Ability to plan play-based, child-led learning across the seven learning areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the learning and development of the Reception class.
• Plan and deliver a rich, play-based EYFS curriculum.
• Deliver systematic phonics and early reading; track progress via learning journeys.
• Collaborate with TA, EYFS team and SENCO to support SEND and EAL learners.
