Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD in Harrow is seeking an experienced Reception Teacher for an immediate start. You will lead a play-based EYFS curriculum in a Reception class, delivering the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters with confidence in synthetic phonics.

Work closely with your teaching assistant, the wider EYFS team and the SENCO to support children with SEND and EAL, carry out observations and assessments, and manage transition arrangements and parental engagement.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience in a Reception or Nursery setting within a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Development Matters.
• Confidence delivering systematic synthetic phonics and early reading programmes.
• Ability to plan play-based, child-led learning across the seven areas of learning.
• Experience with observations, formative assessment and learning journeys.
• Warm, nurturing approach with families and children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the learning and development of a Reception class.
• Plan and deliver a rich, play-based EYFS curriculum.
• Deliver synthetic phonics and early reading programmes.
• Collaborate with teaching assistant, EYFS team and SENCO to support SEND and EAL learners.
