Job summary

ETHOS EDUCATION is seeking a Reception teacher for a long-term supply placement in South London (Croydon). The role focuses on delivering engaging EYFS learning experiences and building strong relationships with pupils and families.

You will plan and teach Early Years lessons, assess progress regularly, support phonics and early reading, and contribute to an inclusive school ethos with collaborative colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher status required (QTS).
  • Recent experience teaching Reception or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and play-based learning.
  • Confident with phonics and early reading strategies.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Reception Teacher - Long-Term Supply
Location: South London (Croydon)
Rate: 137 to 258 per day
Contract: One term, with likelihood of extension to end of year

About the Role

A well-established primary school in Croydon is seeking a Reception teacher for a long-term supply placement. The school has a strong early years provision and values warm, inclusive practice where children develop confidence and a love of learning.

As Reception teacher, you'll deliver engaging learning experiences across the EYFS curriculum, support children's early literacy and phonological awareness, and build positive relationships with pupils and families. The year group is well-resourced and you'll work within a supportive team. Planning infrastructure is in place and colleagues are collaborative.
