Job summary

Westview care centre in Kent is recruiting care workers to help residents with personal care and daily activities, supporting independence and helping them achieve their goals.

We provide comprehensive induction and training, a rolling 4-week rota with a mix of shifts, and a flexible work pattern to suit you. Applications are welcomed from all backgrounds in line with the council's inclusive workforce policies.

Qualifications

  • NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or equivalent required.
  • Experience in care or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing.
  • Assisting people to eat and drink.
  • Supporting people with daily activities.
  • Monitoring individuals' conditions.
  • Engaging service users with social activities.

Job description

Westview is a care centre that provides short term placements, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives.

By promoting independence and delivering person centred care, you'll be making a real difference to people's everyday lives. Your day-to-day might include: Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing, assisting people to eat and drink, supporting people with their daily activities, monitoring individual's conditions, and engaging service users with social activities.

We have three care worker vacancies available, and we can be flexible in the hours offered (to be discussed at interview)., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
