Job summary

Charter Veterinary Hospital, part of CVS Vets, is recruiting a Recent Graduate Vet to join a small animal practice spanning Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott. The role provides a supportive Graduate Programme with an experienced mentor, CPD days, and exposure to a varied caseload in a scenic rural setting.

You will work 40 hours per week across 4 days with a 1:6 Saturday rota, and no out-of-hours duties due to dedicated night staff. Competitive salary is provided.

You will get the chance to work across all of our three sites in the area, Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott.

We are looking for a Vet with at least 12 months post graduate experience. All new and recent graduates that we employ are enrolled onto our Graduate Programme which offers an excellent level of structure and support during your first years in practice.

You will have an experienced clinical mentor working alongside you in your practice and in addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non‑clinical skills, including self‑leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week across 4 days. Participation in the 1:6 Saturday rota (12 hour shift) is required with TOIL for this. No OOHs as we employed dedicated night staff.
