Job summary

Charter Veterinary Hospital, part of CVS Vets, invites applications for a Recent Graduate Vet. This full-time role covers Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott, with a dedicated clinical mentor and a structured Graduate Programme to support your first years in practice.

You will attend CPD days, gain experience across a varied caseload, and benefit from 10 CPD days per year, 5 weeks annual leave, and a supportive team culture focused on wellbeing and professional development.

You will get the chance to work across all of our three sites in the area, Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott.

We are looking for a Vet with at least 12 months post graduate experience. All new and recent graduates that we employ are enrolled onto our Graduate Programme which offers an excellent level of structure and support during your first years in practice.

You will have an experienced clinical mentor working alongside you in your practice and in addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

This is a full time position working 40 hours per week across 4 days. Participation in the 1:6 Saturday rota (12 hour shift) is required with TOIL for this. No OOHs as we employed dedicated night staff.
