You will be given comprehensive training and the opportunity to complete professional qualifications. Working as part of the UK Collection Team, the Coordinator role acts as a key support interface between broker partners, onsite product towers, broker and offshore back‑office operations. The role supports effective collaboration across all parties to help meet financial targets through the timely collection of premium due from clients. The position focuses on supporting established processes, maintaining strong working relationships, ensuring account handlers maintain allocated accounts to the requisite standard, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage broker accounts to optimise collections performance through regular engagement, query resolution, and ledger oversight.
  • Maintain accurate ledger positions and ensure effective control of accounts receivable transactions.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets in line with business goals and objectives.
  • Take full ownership of allocated accounts, ensuring coding, commentary, and next actions are consistently updated.
  • Resolve account issues proactively to prevent overdue items.
  • Support and validate bad debt items, contributing to reduction and improved ledger accuracy.
  • Manage discrepancies (premium, commission, tax, gross differences) through agreed internal processes.
  • Monitor and action account entries daily, escalating issues to relevant teams where required.
  • Collaborate with third‑party providers to ensure effective cash handling and query management.
  • Ensure timely resolution and escalation of queries, maintaining accountability through to completion.
  • Apply strong controls across cash processing, including validation and rejection of incorrect items.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in escalation forums (e.g., war rooms, project teams).
Qualifications
  • Credit control experience (insurance experience advantageous).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels.
  • Proven capability in managing reconciliations involving large detailed data sets.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivots.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance.
