Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Software Engineer for its Real-Time Engineering team in London. You will build the software and data stack that delivers real-time market data from hundreds of exchanges to thousands of customers, focusing on observability and distributed systems.

You will work with experienced engineers to enable scalable, cloud-native solutions and production-grade telemetry across global services.

Qualifications

Hands-on software engineering experience in production systems.
Proficiency in Go, modern C++ or Rust.
Ability to design and explain software clearly and work with APIs, Git and modern development practices.
Interest in market data, observability, distributed systems, telemetry and cloud-native tech.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; eager to learn unfamiliar technologies.

Responsibilities

Build and improve software components that aggregate, correlate and present data from global sites.
Develop telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs and traces.
Deliver synthetic monitoring capabilities for Real‑Time services.
Develop APIs, automation and configuration to manage observability assets.
Use Git, CI/CD and config-as-code to deploy software across environments.
Collaborate with engineering squads to instrument applications across environments.
Learn modern approaches to observability, distributed systems and real-time data platforms.
