Job summary

Millennium seeks a Python Software Engineer to develop intraday trading analytics and real-time market data solutions. You will partner with R&D and application teams to build a high-performance portfolio management platform and support intraday analytics across risk systems.

The role requires 5+ years in Python, strong Linux skills, and experience with real-time architectures, messaging, caching, and modern deployment tools like Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python application development experience.
• Strong Linux OS knowledge.
• Experience with real-time analytics and market data solutions.
• Experience with grid scheduling and compute orchestration (SLURM).
• Familiarity with messaging and caching systems (Kafka, Solace, Pulsar, Memcache, Redis).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, ELK).
• Knowledge of databases including SQL, NoSQL, time-series (Kdb).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D and application teams to design and implement high-performance real-time analytics and market data solutions.
• Help build and enhance a portfolio management platform in collaboration with business users.
• Develop and support intraday analytics platforms used across risk and portfolio management systems.
• Work across technologies to deliver scalable, low-latency trading and analytics workflows.
• Contribute to application development, project delivery, and platform architecture for highly scalable real-time systems.
