Job summary

Bet365, a world-leading online gambling company, seeks a Software Developer to build and enhance core infrastructure powering a global data ecosystem. You will operate within Platform Engineering and focus on real-time stream processing, cloud infrastructure, system integration and release automation, using Golang, Kafka, Flink, GCP, Spanner and BigQuery.

This role is eligible for inclusion in Bet365’s hybrid work from home policy, offering flexibility while delivering high-scale services for

Qualifications

Proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
Experience with Apache Kafka in real-time data pipelines.
Experience in high-volume transactional environments.
Proven ability to develop low-latency, scalable solutions.
Knowledge of dashboards and monitoring stacks.
Ability to manage multiple projects with independent deadlines.
Experience working with Linux.

Responsibilities

Develop applications using Golang, Kafka, Flink, GCP, SQL and other technologies.
Support applications in their Kafka journey from design through to implementation.
Maintain clean coding practices.
Create automation and developer tooling.
Identify technical areas for improvement.
Contribute to streaming and storage solutions independently and alongside the wider development function.
Assist the testing team during the testing phases of projects.
Conduct functional and performance testing while undertaking quality assurance of code to ensure accuracy.
