Job summary

QC Legal's Manchester Real Estate team is seeking a qualified lawyer with 1-3 years’ PQE to advise national and international investors on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, and major development matters.

You will join a Tier 1 ranked practice and benefit from flexible hybrid working, up to 25 days' holiday (28 with service), private medical insurance and an active business development culture.

Commercial property sits within a highly regarded Real Estate practice handling substantial transactions for some of the country’s largest property owners and developers. The Manchester team is Tier 1 ranked in The Legal 500 and advises across a broad spectrum of real estate matters.
Its work includes major retail, mixed-use and office developments, property financing, commercial landlord and tenant matters, and portfolio acquisitions and disposals. The team acts for national and international investors and developers, giving lawyers exposure to significant property transactions and a varied client base.

The Opportunity

• Advise national and international investors and developers on a range of commercial real estate transactions.
• Work on acquisitions and disposals, including portfolio transactions.
• Become involved in major retail, mixed-use and office development matters.
• Handle commercial landlord and tenant work.
• Gain exposure to the property aspects of financing transactions.
• Work closely with experienced Real Estate lawyers on multi-million-pound transactions.
• Develop direct client relationships as your experience and responsibility increase.
• Play an active part in business development and client relationship management.
• Build broader transactional experience within an established Manchester Real Estate practice.

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified lawyer with 1-3 years’ PQE.
• Relevant experience gained within a recognised Real Estate department at a major or medium-sized law firm.
• A strong academic background.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commercially aware and able to respond flexibly to client requirements.
• Comfortable managing competing priorities within a transactional environment.
• Interested in developing client relationships and contributing to business development.
• Keen to progress within a busy commercial Real Estate practice.
