Job Description:

Job Description

Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. In Real Estate Tax, we pride ourselves on helping transform our clients’ real estate into greater assets. We provide a diverse range of organisations with business and financial advice to enable this. Our insights empower clients to make significant decisions and unlock sustainable growth. With a focus on quality and integrity, we help businesses, communities, and our people flourish.

We advise real estate funds, global institutional investors, REITs, private investors, and the public sector on investment into UK and pan-European real estate, offering tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence advice. Our work spans all real estate sectors including commercial, office, student housing, industrial logistics, retail, and hotels.

We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work and life commitments.

A look into the role

As an Associate Director in our Real Estate Tax (RET) team, you will:

  1. Be part of a high-performing team with extensive experience within the firm and sector, working with high-profile clients on challenging projects.
  2. Develop and mentor junior team members, understanding their career aspirations.
  3. Handle significant projects involving multi-jurisdictional transactions across various real estate sectors, with deal sizes ranging from £60m to over £1bn, offering opportunities for rapid promotion.
  4. Own your work, leading client interactions, project delivery, and engagement with the broader tax teams, supported by capable colleagues.

Knowing you’re right for us

The minimum criteria for this role include:

  1. ACA / ACCA / CTA qualification or equivalent
  2. UK corporate tax experience, ideally within real estate
  3. Experience in monitoring and coaching junior team members

Preferred but not essential skills include experience in tax structuring, international tax advice, business development, tax compliance, and setting up property funds like UK REITs.

Knowing we’re right for you

We foster an inclusive culture that values diversity and respects all colleagues. We encourage you to bring your whole self to work and support your passions both inside and outside of work.

Beyond the job

We believe life extends beyond work. We offer flexible working options to help maintain a healthy work-life balance. Your contributions will have a broader societal impact through initiatives like secondments, charity fundraising, and supporting entrepreneurs globally. Our core values—purposeful drive, curiosity, candor, and kindness—guide us.

We seek individuals eager to contribute, innovate, and exceed expectations—doing what’s right for the firm, clients, colleagues, and themselves. That’s how it should be.
