Job Description
Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Tax team is structured to provide a full spectrum of tax services to private equity, including funds, deals, and portfolio companies, on a wide scope of transactional work both domestically and internationally.
We advise mid-market private equity firms and large corporates with deal values from a few million to over a billion. Our support spans the entire deal lifecycle, from initial proposal and due diligence to post-deal advice.
We work across various sectors, including technology, gaming, care homes, art galleries, travel, and retail. The environment is fast-moving and technically driven, emphasizing service quality, technical application, client interaction, and organizational skills.
The TAS Tax team is small, close-knit, and experiencing growth, offering opportunities for responsibility and development.
We seek enthusiastic individuals aiming for a Manager role and interested in a career in M&A tax. We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work, study, and personal life.
Role Overview
As Associate Director, you will provide tax structuring advice and conduct tax due diligence for private equity and corporate clients on buy-side and sell-side transactions, including work on AIM and Main Market transactions on the London Stock Exchange.
You will lead client discussions, manage relationships, coordinate with FDD and SPA teams, oversee due diligence meetings, and review reports. You will prepare and review tax structuring reports, analyze transaction models, and collaborate with stakeholders across TAS, Corporate Finance, and international firms.
Business development, proposal writing, presentation delivery, project budget management, and technical research are also key responsibilities. You will mentor and develop your team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser (ACA, CA CTA, ADIT, or equivalent) with a solid UK tax background. Skills that are desirable include:
Our Culture and Values
We foster an inclusive, respectful culture that values individual contributions and diversity. We encourage our people to bring their whole selves to work, supporting their passions and development both professionally and personally.
Work-Life Balance and Community Engagement
We offer flexible working options to support work-life balance. We also encourage societal contributions through secondments, charity fundraising, and supporting entrepreneurs globally. Our values drive us to do the right thing—purposefully, curiously, and kindly.
We seek proactive, innovative individuals committed to excellence, integrity, and making a positive impact.
