Job summary

CMS Law is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Paralegal or experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our Legal Services Unit in our Sheffield or Manchester office on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role focuses on supporting an energy and utilities client with documenting land rights in Scotland and England via servitudes and easements.

You will manage your own caseload of transactions, take client instructions, negotiate deeds and arrange completions, while working in a busy environment with

Qualifications

• Degree in law or equivalent qualification.
• Experience or progress towards CILEX encouraged.
• Familiarity with real estate transactions and title checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a busy caseload of transactions for land rights in Scotland and England.
• Draft easement/servitude documents and negotiate with counterparties.
• Update online trackers and manage completion and post-completion registrations.
• Take client instructions and report progress to the client.
