Job summary

A Birmingham City Centre law firm seeks a Real Estate Litigation Associate Solicitor to join its growing Disputes team on hybrid working. The role covers landlord & tenant, property disputes, development-related matters, and advocacy opportunities.

You will manage matters from instruction to resolution, draft pleadings, and build client relationships in a collaborative environment with clear progression.

Qualifications

• A Real Estate Litigation Solicitor operating from circa 1+ years’ PQE (Associate) through to Senior Associate level.
• Strong technical expertise across Real Estate Litigation and property disputes.
• Experience within a reputable regional or national firm, ideally in West Midlands.
• Grounding in traditional property / real estate litigation matters.
• Commercially aware with strong client-handling and communication skills.
• Ambitious with interest in business development and team growth.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of Real Estate Litigation matters, including landlord & tenant and property disputes.
• Advising clients on development-related disputes and strategic real estate matters.
• Handling matters from instruction through to resolution, including litigation and ADR.
• Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation across Real Estate Litigation cases.
• Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice to a diverse client base.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Attending client meetings, negotiations, and court hearings, with advocacy opportunities.
• Supporting business development and contributing to the growth of the Birmingham team.
