Job summary

Macdonald & Company is recruiting an Investment Associate in Manchester to assess new opportunities, perform financial modelling and market research, and support due diligence and investment committee papers.

You will work closely with senior decision-makers, assist with negotiations, deal origination and stakeholder engagement, and help monitor investment performance and reporting across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in real estate investment, valuations or capital markets, ideally with transaction exposure.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and research skills, particularly in Excel.
• Understanding of residential real estate investment principles; affordable housing knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess new investment opportunities through financial modelling and market research.
• Review due diligence and support transactions through to completion.
• Prepare Investment Committee papers and support grant funding applications.
• Assist with negotiations, deal origination and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor investment performance and maintain financial models.
• Support investor reporting, presentations and portfolio management.
