Our investment banking client is seeking a Real Estate Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic, results-driven team in a fast-paced, global investment bank. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role requiring a final-stage or fully qualified accountant (CIMA preferred or equivalent). The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of real estate and facilities costs, acting as a critical bridge between the Finance Department and the Corporate Division, and ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting of real estate expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Accounting & Cost Management

  • Ensure accurate accounting for lease costs, including reconciliation of service charges and CPI increases.
  • Manage timely rent payments, liaising with landlords and resolving any queries.
  • Monitor and report on real estate financial performance, ensuring alignment with lease agreements.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for real estate and facilities costs.
  • Prepare and analyze month-end accruals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide financial insights to senior stakeholders to support decision-making.

Project & Procurement Management

  • Oversee the raising and monitoring of purchase orders (POs), goods receiving POs, and payment approvals.
  • Work closely with project teams, quantity surveyors, and project managers to monitor project budgets against actuals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks of project overspending, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering

  • Act as a liaison between Finance, Real Estate, Facilities, and Corporate Services.
  • Partner with non-finance teams, ensuring financial insights are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Build strong relationships with landlords, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to optimize financial operations.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Final-stage or fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA accountant.
  • Strong experience in real estate finance, facilities management, or corporate services finance.
  • Commercial awareness of the real estate sector (banking experience is a plus but not essential).

Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex financial data.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (macros not required but strong financial modeling and analysis skills needed).
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented, able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly in working with non-finance teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with a passion for understanding how corporate services functions within a bank.
  • Knowledge of Tririga, PeopleSoft and Qlik Sense would be beneficial.

Why Join Us?

This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing, global organization.
