Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project or Real Estate Development Attorney to join a growing in-house legal team at a leading global infrastructure company. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level legal professional with a strong background in project or real estate development, construction, and/or project finance to play a strategic role in supporting complex and impactful infrastructure transactions across the globe. This fully remote role is ideal for candidates licensed in the UK who are eager to contribute to transformative developments in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel and support on a wide range of corporate transactional matters related to project development, real estate, construction, and infrastructure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including development agreements, joint ventures, financing documents, and construction contracts.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and implications of strategic business decisions and transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and development to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Assist in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex infrastructure and real estate development deals.
- Stay current on relevant UK and international laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal services.
Requirements- A minimum of 4 years of legal experience in project or real estate development, construction, finance, and/or infrastructure transactions.
- Prior in-house counsel experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the UK.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
- High professional integrity and sound judgment with outstanding references.
