Job summary

Penningtons Manches LLP is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for its Real Estate division. The role requires owning dedicated Real Estate BD support, collaborating with Partners and senior stakeholders, and driving growth through campaigns, client events and cross-practice opportunities.

This hybrid role offers partnership exposure, a structured BD framework, and opportunities to shape the division's market position.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in a business development role within legal or professional services.
• Strong BD fundamentals including pitching, client development, campaigns and events.
• Confident working with partners and senior stakeholders in a collegiate but commercially driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary BD contact for allocated Real Estate teams, ensuring consistent and high-quality support.
• Work with partners and senior stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges and growth opportunities.
• Support development and delivery of team-level BD plans aligned to divisional strategy.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice to fee-earners on BD activity.
• Contribute insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and collaboration across practice areas.
• Plan and deliver targeted BD campaigns and client events.
• Coordinate pitches, proposals and capability materials to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Develop credentials, presentations and marketing collateral aligned to client needs.
• Lead on profile-raising activity including directories, awards and thought leadership.
