Job summary

Knutsford Academy seeks an enthusiastic individual to support reading and literacy, building supportive relationships with students and working within our learning support team.

You will deliver 1:1 and small-group reading and phonics interventions, track pupil progress, and collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials while supporting SEND and Pupil Premium students. Term-time only, 25.5 hours per week, pro-rata salary.

• Interest in working with young people and supporting reading development.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Caring, patient and resilient with flexible thinking and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused 1:1 and small-group reading and phonics interventions.
• Track and record pupil progress to help close attainment gaps.
• Work alongside class teachers and literacy leads to adapt learning materials.
• Support students with SEND or Pupil Premium funding to build reading fluency and confidence.
