Job summary

The Priory City of Lincoln Academy is seeking a Reading Intervention Tutor to join our learning community. You will provide high quality support with a focus on reading and work alongside our Reading and English teams to support identified students with reading fluency.

A willingness to complete training on the York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension (YARC) is required. Applicants who are flexible, organised and IT literate, with outstanding interpersonal skills, are encouraged to apply.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Reading Intervention Tutor to join our learning community to provide high quality support and care with a focus on reading. The successful candidate will work alongside our Reading and English teams to support identified students with reading fluency. A willingness to complete training on the York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension (YARC) would be required for this role.

Candidates who are flexible, organised, possess outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with young people, are at ease working in a team environment and IT literate are welcome to apply. Applications from candidates who have an interest in, or passion for sport would be welcomed. The successful person should have the drive to support students to learn as effectively as possible both inside and outside the classroom, working with colleagues to remove barriers to learning and improving outcomes for young people. Training will be provided as necessary.
