Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is recruiting an After School Playleader for Airfield Primary Academy in Weston-super-Mare. This role covers 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm, term time only, with a provisional start date in October 2026.

You will manage daily after-school play provision for children, lead a small team, and ensure safety and quality in line with academy policies. The position offers permanent contract and benefits through CLF employment framework.

Actual Annual Salary:£9,084 - £9,901 (Equivalent to £13.89 - £15.14 per hour) based on hours and weeks worked.

Full Time Equivalent Salary:£26,798 - £29,208 (CLF Grade B) based on 37 hours per week, all year round.

Contract:Permanent

Hours of Work: 15 hours per week (Monday - Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm.) Term time only.

We are looking for an After School Playleader to join our brand-new team at Airfield Primary Academy.

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Play Leader who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of play provision for children outside of Academy hours. They will lead a qualityplay careservice responsive to the needs of children and their parents and within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

About Airfield Primary Academy:

Airfield Primary Academy is a new primary school opening in September 2026 on the former Weston Airfield site in Haywood Village, Weston-Super-Mare. The school will serve the local community of Haywood Village, a growing development of around 6,500 homes, and will form an integral part of the area’s educational provision.

The academy will open initially with 30 Reception pupils, growing year by year to accommodate up to 630 pupils when full. In addition, the site will include a 102-place nursery offering all-year-round provision for children aged 2-4, with separate access and a dedicated kitchen.

The purpose‑built school will be set within extensive outdoor spaces designed to support learning and play, including nature areas, grass and all-weather sports pitches and shared community sports facilities. These resources will help establish the academy as a vibrant hub for both education and community life.

As a new school within Cabot Learning Federation, Airfield Primary Academy offers a unique opportunity to help shape its ethos, routines and traditions from day one, working collaboratively to embed high‑quality practice and create a welcoming, aspirational environment for pupils, families and staff alike.
