Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Senior Accountant to work with agricultural and landed estates clients in the Bristol area. The role focuses on accounts, tax, and advisory services for farming and rural businesses.

Requirements include ACA/ACCA/AAT qualifications (or working towards), strong accounts and tax knowledge, and excellent client communication. The role supports flexible/hybrid working and offers benefits within the Southwest market.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified, or working towards & studying towards an accountancy qualification.
• Good knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail & Confidence dealing directly with clients.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounts, tax returns and VAT returns
• Manage bookkeeping and financial records
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports
• Provide financial and tax advice to agricultural and rural clients
• Identify tax-planning and business opportunities
• Liaise with HMRC when required
• Support with inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters
• Attend farm visits, agricultural events and local markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Work closely with farming and rural businesses to help them manage and grow their finances

The Job:

We’re looking for someone with accountancy practice experience who has an interest in working with agricultural and rural businesses.
