Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Nights at Knowle Gate Care Home in Knowle. You’ll work with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar care home environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude, supportive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Supervise and support junior staff in their development.
• Be the main point of contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

• Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
