Job summary

Graham Asset Management in the West Midlands is looking for an experienced electrician to deliver complex commercial electrical installations and maintenance tasks. You will handle LV distribution, data networking, and HVAC controls while meeting client requirements.

You may work in a maintenance team or independently on minor projects, join the on-call rota, and ensure all work complies with BS7671 and IET guidance with rigorous safety and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Suitably experienced in delivery of electrical installation works for large commercial installations.
• Ability to work within a maintenance team or independently on minor projects.
• Part of emergency on-call rota and able to meet clients professionally.
• Knowledge of IET wiring regulations and BS7671 standards.
• Experience with data networking, HVAC controls, and fault finding.
• Accurate completion and timely submission of documentation.
• Observe health and safety at all times and conduct risk assessments.
• Use initiative to source parts and seek technical support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical installation works for large commercial sites.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical systems.

• Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting.

Job description

• Suitably experienced in the delivery of all aspects of electrical installation works for large commercial installations.
• Work either as part of a maintenance team for larger installations under the instruction of a local site supervisor or work independently on minor works projects without local supervision.
• Be a team member by being a part of the emergency on call rota
• Have the ability to meet with a variety of Clients to represent the Company and remain courteous and professional in your dealings at all times.
• Have sufficient knowledge of the current IET wiring regulations ensuring all works meet the requirements of the current IETwiring regulations.
• Undertake a range of installation and completion tasks including but not limited to single and three phase low voltage distribution cabling and equipment, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment, final circuit cabling, second fix final termination of wiring accessories, data networking, HVAC controls, fault finding, inspection & testing.
• Undertake a range of electrical planned and reactive maintenance tasks diligently and professionally
• Undertake fault finding on various electrical systems such as on lighting and power as well as heating and ventilation systems
• Accurate completion and timely submission company documentation (Hard copy or electronic) as required per contract.
• Use their own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with minor works activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered
• Have a sound understanding of the current edition of BS7671 and associated IET guidance documents in relation to best practice and principals.
• Undertake M&E asset verification exercises for new and existing contractors using our asset management software
• Be part of the out of hours on call rota.
