Job summary

Graham Asset Management requires an experienced electrical technician to deliver major commercial installation works and respond to maintenance needs on site. You will work within a team or independently on smaller projects, meeting clients professionally and adhering to IET BS 7671 regulations.

You will participate in the on-call rota and ensure safe, compliant completion of tasks, including data networking and HVAC control wiring. Documentation must be accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical installation works for large commercial installations.
• Able to work in maintenance teams or independently on minor works projects.
• Participation in emergency on-call rota.
• Represent the company professionally when meeting clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation tasks including single and three phase LV distribution cabling.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks professionally and promptly.
• Perform fault finding on lighting, power, heating and ventilation systems.
• Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of contractual documentation.
• Observe health and safety requirements and conduct risk assessments at the worksite.

Job description

• Suitably experienced in the delivery of all aspects of electrical installation works for large commercial installations.
• Work either as part of a maintenance team for larger installations under the instruction of a local site supervisor or work independently on minor works projects without local supervision.
• Be a team member by being a part of the emergency on call rota
• Have the ability to meet with a variety of Clients to represent the Company and remain courteous and professional in your dealings at all times.
• Have sufficient knowledge of the current IET wiring regulations ensuring all works meet the requirements of the current IETwiring regulations.
• Undertake a range of installation and completion tasks including but not limited to single and three phase low voltage distribution cabling and equipment, steel & PVC trunking/tray/conduit containment, final circuit cabling, second fix final termination of wiring accessories, data networking, HVAC controls, fault finding, inspection & testing.
• Undertake a range of electrical planned and reactive maintenance tasks diligently and professionally
• Undertake fault finding on various electrical systems such as on lighting and power as well as heating and ventilation systems
• Accurate completion and timely submission company documentation (Hard copy or electronic) as required per contract.
• Use their own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with minor works activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered
• Have a sound understanding of the current edition of BS7671 and associated IET guidance documents in relation to best practice and principals.
• Undertake M&E asset verification exercises for new and existing contractors using our asset management software
• Be part of the out of hours on call rota.
