Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a prestigious West End, London property. You will lead the on-site engineering team, own daily operations and manage PPM and reactive maintenance while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront.

You will work closely with clients and stakeholders, coordinate subcontractors, and identify additional works for small projects, ensuring reliable performance of the building's mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial Facilities Management / building services.
• Strong knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing engineers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support on-site engineering team to maintain high standards.
• Own day-to-day engineering operation of the building.
• Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance safely and on schedule.
• Assist engineers with fault finding and technical issues.
• Act as client liaison and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee subcontractors from attendance to completion and review reports.
• Ensure statutory compliance, health & safety, and site documentation.
• Identify and scope additional works and small projects.
• Monitor outstanding works and drive completion.
• Support reliability and performance of the building's mechanical and electrical systems.

Maintenance Supervisor – FM Service Provider – West End, London – Up to £53,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor looking to take ownership of a prestigious commercial building in the heart of London’s West End?

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading FM service provider within a high-quality commercial property in West End, Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who is ready to take the next step or an established supervisor looking for greater responsibility within a prominent, fast-paced commercial environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the on-site engineering team, ensuring consistently high standards of technical performance and service delivery.
• Taking ownership of the day-to-day engineering operation of the building.
• Managing the delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance, ensuring works are completed safely and within agreed timescales.
• Remaining hands-on where required, supporting engineers with fault finding, maintenance and technical issues.
• Acting as a key point of contact for the client and building stakeholders, providing technical updates and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Managing specialist subcontractors from attendance through to completion, including reviewing reports and progressing remedial works.
• Maintaining strong standards of statutory compliance, health & safety and site documentation.
• Identifying, scoping and producing quotations for additional works and small projects.
• Monitoring outstanding works and ensuring actions are followed through to completion.
• Supporting the continued reliability and performance of the building's mechanical and electrical systems.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 17:00pm

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience working within commercial Facilities Management / building services.
• Strong understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing engineers, specialist subcontractors, quotations and remedial works.
• Confident and professional client-facing skills.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy commercial building.
