Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Limited is recruiting a Trainee Field Technician to cover your local area. You will be trained to locate leaks on underground water networks and work on site during days, 40 hours per week.

This temporary-to-permanent role includes full training and progression opportunities. The role requires a full clean driving licence; access to a company van and fuel card is provided, and you will undertake paperwork and data uploads using a laptop.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Willing to undergo compulsory drug and alcohol testing.
• Graduates, ex-forces or drivers/outdoor background may be suitable.
• Basic computer skills are required for data uploads.

Responsibilities

• Identify the type and location of water leakage during surveys.
• Assist repair teams by providing leak detection services.
• Support in survey and project work beyond day-to-day leak detection.
• Complete paperwork accurately (time sheets, survey forms, leak details).
• Drive to sites as required; hold a full and valid driving licence.

My client is recruiting for Trainee Field Technicians who will be covering your local area.

The successful candidate will be trained to find water leaks on the underground water networks.

This role is working days - 40 hours per week.

This is a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

Trainee Field Technician responsibilities:

• To assist in detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leakage
• Assist repair gangs by providing leak detection services
• Assist in survey work/project work not normally associated with day-to-day leak detection
• To assist in adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork (including time sheets, survey forms, leak details and other duties as required
• Possess basic computer skills as you will be uploading data onto a laptop
• It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence as you are required to drive for the role.

This Trainee Field Technician role would suit candidates with the following:

• Graduates
• Ex-Forces
• Drivers / Driving (Multi Drop, Meter Readers, Delivery Drivers)
• People with a manual working/outdoor background

Full training will be given on the following:

• Unit 2 Street Works
