Job summary

The Steps in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive pub supervisor to help manage day-to-day operations, open and close the pub, supervise staff, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

You will handle cash, stock, deliveries, licensing compliance, and customer queries, contributing to a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and covering shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the pub when required.
• Supervising staff and allocating duties.
• Serving customers and maintaining excellent customer service.
• Managing the bar and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Handling cash and operating the till system accurately.
• Checking stock and helping with deliveries and stock rotation.
• Ensuring licensing, health & safety and pub procedures are followed.
• Dealing with customer queries and any issues that arise.
• Supporting with the general running of the pub.
• Helping create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Taking responsibility for the pub when cover days off and holidays.
