Job summary

Frontline Recruitment National is seeking reliable van drivers in the Maidenhead/Slough area to deliver to customer homes on a rota basis with no more than 12 drops per day and 6:00am starts.

You will plan efficient routes, load and unload cargo, and interact professionally with customers while keeping fuel and mileage records. A valid licence with a clean record and prior van-driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a van driver is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards for commercial driving.
• Ability to navigate using GPS/maps.

Job description

How does home delivery sound but with no more than 12 drops a day, yes you read that right no more than 12 drops!

Working any 5 over 7 days on a rota basis 4 weeks + ahead. 06:00am starts, £14.42 per hour.

This is a long term and permanent roles are available as well

Duties:

Safely operate a van to transport goods and deliver to customer homes

Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries

Load and unload cargo, some assembly work may be involved but full training will be provided

Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Experience:

Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record

Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards

Ability to navigate using GPS or maps

Strong communication skills to interact with customers or passengers

Physical fitness for heavy lifting and loading/unloading cargo

Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
