Civil Design Technician

Key Duties
- Assist with the preparation of detailed infrastructure and civil engineering designs.
- Produce technical drawings and design information using CAD software.
- Support the delivery of highways, drainage and development infrastructure projects.
- Work with engineers, clients and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Attend project meetings and site visits to develop technical understanding and industry knowledge.
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports and supporting project documentation.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous exposure to civil engineering or infrastructure projects through employment, placements or internships.
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D, with 3D advantageous but not essential.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
- Knowledge of highway and drainage design principles.
- Experience using Civil 3D, Site 3D, PDS, InfoDrainage or similar software.
- Understanding of UK infrastructure design standards and guidance, i.e. Manual for Streets and Sewers for Adoption.
- Previous consultancy or development-sector experience.Full UK driving licence.
