Job summary

Itec Training Solutions Limited is seeking a Youth Tutor in Swansea to deliver individualized tutoring sessions, support learners' progression, and inspire young people to reach their potential.

The role involves engaging with the Jobs Growth Wales Plus initiative, developing creative lesson plans, and guiding learners through their learning journey toward qualifications in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or mentoring young people.
• Experience working with NEET individuals.
• Good level of Math and English GCSE (C) or higher (Level 5+).
• Ability to engage, motivate and support learners in a learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions using varied teaching methods to engage and support learners.
• Develop creative lesson plans with differentiated teaching styles and activities.
• Plan and support the learner's individual learning journey.
• Support learners to achieve qualifications to a high standard and in a timely fashion.

About the role

As a Youth Tutor, you will work closely with students to provide individualised tutoring sessions, support their learning needs, and inspire them to achieve their potential.

Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.

Your impact

Delivering training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support, and motivate learners to enhance their skills and progression opportunities.

Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience.

Planning and supporting the learner in their individual learning journey.

Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience working as a tutor, trainer, or mentor for young people.
• Previous experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals
• Minimum Level 3 qualification or Degree equivalent.
• Good level of Math and English GCSE C, Level 5 or above
• Ability to engage, motivate, and support young people in a learning environment.
• Ability to plan lessons, assess learner progress, and provide feedback effectively.
