GoodPeople is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer to support planned works across Stevenage and surrounding areas. The role involves communicating with residents, arranging access, and working closely with site and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in resident liaison, housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or construction, and a full UK driving licence. This site-based role includes occasional travel and meetings at the office as required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for residents throughout planned works.
  • Keep residents informed about upcoming works, timescales, access requirements and potential disruption.
  • Carry out resident visits and maintain regular communication throughout projects.
  • Arrange access to properties for contractors and site teams.
  • Respond to resident enquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and project stakeholders.
  • Identify and appropriately support vulnerable residents.
  • Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident contact, visits, access arrangements and outstanding issues.
  • Attend site, resident and project meetings as required.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role involving regular communication with members of the public, customers or residents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident dealing with enquiries, concerns and potentially difficult situations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel across Stevenage and the surrounding area as required.
  • Experience within social housing, housing associations or local authority environments.
  • Experience working on planned maintenance, refurbishment, repairs, retrofit or construction projects.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable residents.
  • Knowledge of construction or property maintenance processes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
