HRGO Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Assembly and Test Technician for a rural/out-of-town site in the Cambourne - St. Neots area. You will wire complete machines, perform functional testing and I-O checks, and carry out basic fault-finding across the factory.

The role is 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a 07:30 start and an early finish every Friday (12:00). Candidates should have experience with DOL and VFD systems, 18th Edition, and be comfortable reading schematics and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Wiring complete machines and performing functional testing.
• Reading schematics and BOMs to support assembly.
• Assisting with installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
• Confident with fault diagnosis and electrical assembly requirements.

A leading manufacturer of bespoke food processing systems is recruiting an Electrical Assembly and Test Technician.

You’ll be wiring complete machines, carrying out functional testing/I-O checks, basic fault-finding, and supporting electrical work across the factory.

• Machine wiring (sensors, motors, actuators, interconnects)
• Read schematics/layout drawings/BOMs
• Functional testing + basic fault-finding
• Assist with installs, upgrades and improvement projects
• Machine wiring/industrial electrical assembly background
• Confident reading drawings and fault diagnosis
• Experience with DOL and VFD systems
• Good teamwork and attention to quality/safety

• PLC/HMI exposure

Development routes available into Controls Engineering (PLC/HMI), Test & Validation, Electrical Design (EPLAN/BOMs/layouts) and Commissioning (UK & international).

• 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (early finish Friday)
• Overtime generally available and paid at 1.5x (Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings)
• Up to £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
