Job summary

HCRG Staffing seeks a skilled Therapeutic Radiographer to deliver high-quality radiotherapy treatments and support patient care through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. You will work within multidisciplinary teams and maintain precise records while upholding professional standards.

The role requires an appropriate Radiography degree (or equivalent) and typically 2+ years of hospital-based experience, with strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage patient anxiety

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
• Typically 2+ years of experience as a Therapeutic Radiographer in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing radiotherapy treatment sessions.
• Administering radiotherapy treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitoring patient response during and after treatment.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of treatments delivered.
• Ensuring the correct positioning and immobilisation of patients for each session.
• Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after treatment.
• Collaborating with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students.
• Keeping up to date with advancements in radiotherapy techniques and equipment.

As a Therapeutic Radiographer, you will deliver high quality radiotherapy treatments to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards.

• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
