Abbotsleigh Mews Care Home in Sidcup is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, companionship and daily activities. The role emphasizes person-centred care aligned with Bupa values of bravery, care and responsibility.
You will work flexible bank hours within a purpose-built home offering nursing, residential and dementia care, with emphasis on independence for residents and a friendly team environment.

Abbotsleigh Mews is a purpose-built care home, welcoming those in need of nursing, residential and dementia care.
Short stay, convalescence and palliative care also available.
The home is arranged into different houses for different types of care and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds. Residents also have a choice of lounge and dining areas, a sensory room and activities rooms.
Registered nurses and well-trained care assistants know that it's important to create a friendly atmosphere at the home, giving all residents as much independence as possible, while also making sure that they have all the care and help they require.
Residents are served nutritious meals that are tailored to individual diet plans. Afternoon tea and fresh fruit platters are popular, as are homemade cakes.
A versatile activities programme aims to help residents maintain their independence as long as possible. Residents can enjoy a wide range of hobbies, coffee mornings, outings, music and other games, arts and crafts as well as weekly visits from the neighbouring nursery and part of an ongoing initiative to help bring old and young people together.
