Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Care Assistant for Red Court Care Home in Croydon. You will provide person-centred care to residents, supporting independence and choice in a team that upholds our Brave, Caring, and Responsible values.

You will contribute to high standards of care, delivering activities and maintaining care plans in line with regulatory requirements. We offer a fully paid induction, a free meal on each shift, and DBS check plus uniform provided and paid for by Bupa, with access to gym

Qualifications

  • Motivation, positivity and great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and report changes in line with legislation.
  • Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs according to their care plan.
  • Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, group and one-to-one.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.

  • Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
