Job summary

Medecho LTD is recruiting an experienced Consultant in General Medicine to join an NHS Trust on a locum agency basis for an immediate start with potential extension.

This contract offers on-site work in the UK, with travel to assigned NHS Trust locations, and competitive agency pay rates (£90–£105 per hour).

Qualifications

• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• NHS Consultant level experience is preferred.
• Experience in acute medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients within General Medicine services.
• Conduct ward rounds, patient assessments, and clinical reviews.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to service development and clinical governance activities.
• Participate in the on-call rota where required.
