Job summary

Medecho LTD is recruiting an experienced Consultant in General Medicine to join an NHS Trust on a locum agency basis with immediate start and potential for extension. The role involves ward rounds, patient reviews, MDT meetings, and supervising junior staff, with on-call duties as needed.

You must hold GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine, have NHS consultant experience, and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or equivalent).
• Previous NHS experience at Consultant level.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel for the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients within General Medicine services.
• Conduct ward rounds, patient assessments, and clinical reviews.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
