Job summary

Completely Care Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Risca is seeking compassionate Agency Support Workers to join our care team across Risca and surrounding areas. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support independence.

We value reliability, flexibility, and teamwork. A minimum of 6 months UK-based experience as a Support Worker is preferred, with a focus on person-centred care and safeguarding. Training and ongoing opportunities are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
• Help clients maintain their independence and well-being by supporting them in community activities and appointments
• Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
• Support individuals who may display challenging behaviour, responding calmly and effectively to ensure a safe and positive environment
• Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 months UK-based experience as a Support Worker
• Experience or confidence in working with challenging behaviour
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a strong desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives
• Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to work varied shifts and locations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and judgment to respond to client needs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
