Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting Locum Consultant Anaesthetists for UK-wide opportunities. The role is based in London with ad hoc shifts across the week, including weekends. You will deliver safe anaesthesia across a range of surgical specialties and engage in audits and governance.

Flexible long-term or short-term assignments are available to suit your schedule. Required qualifications include MBBS, FRCA, GMC registration, and a current DBS/PVG check or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree is required.
• FRCA or equivalent qualifications are required.
• GMC registration with licence to practise is required.
• DBS/PVG check (or willingness to undergo) is required.
• UK Right to Work is required.
• CCT in Anaesthetics or within 6 months of achieving it.

Responsibilities

• Providing general anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures.
• Conducting pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
• Supporting junior anaesthetists and theatre staff.
• Participating in audits and clinical governance.

About the Role

What We're Looking For

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• FRCA or equivalent
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• UK Right to Work
• Strong communication and teamworking skills
• CCT in Anaesthetics (or within 6 months of achieving it)
