Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting locum Consultant Anaesthetists across the UK, including Scotland, to deliver safe anesthesia across elective and emergency procedures. Start date November 2026 with rota to be confirmed and on-call duties. You must hold MBBS, Full GMC licence, FRCA, and be on the specialist register with DBS/PVG checks.

UK Right to Work. We offer flexible assignments, fast onboarding, and dedicated support from a recruitment consultant, plus wellbeing resources and revalidation

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• FRCA or equivalent.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or willingness to undergo one.
• UK Right to Work.
• CCT in Anaesthetics (or within 6 months of achieving it).

Responsibilities

• Providing general anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures.
• Conducting pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
• Supporting junior anaesthetists and theatre staff.
• Participating in audits and clinical governance.

About the Role

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication and teamworking skills
• CCT in Anaesthetics (or within 6 months of achieving it)
