Job summary

Beaufort Support Services is seeking a Young Person’s Support Worker to help 16+ young people develop confidence, skills and independence. You’ll support wellbeing, encourage education and employment goals, and coach practical life skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping and managing a home.

This full-time role is based in Bournemouth & Poole, requires lone working with up to 5–6 young people, and includes a private room for sleep-ins, ongoing training, funded qualifications and clear

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People.
  • Experience in supported accommodation, social care or trauma-informed practice is desirable.
  • Calm and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Strong communicator with good organisational and record-keeping skills.

At Beaufort Support Services, we’re looking for a Young Person’s Support Worker to support young people aged 16+ as they develop the confidence, skills and independence to take their next steps in life.

Support young people with their wellbeing, confidence and independence.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, reliable and positive, with a genuine desire to help young people succeed.

Confident working independently and lone working with up to 5–6 young people.

Calm and resilient when faced with challenging situations.

A strong communicator with good organisational and record-keeping skills.

Experienced in supporting young or vulnerable people.

Committed to completing an NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People.

Experience in supported accommodation, social care or trauma-informed practice is desirable.

The practical details

£13.67 per hour

£32,846 per annum

37 hours per week

Based in Bournemouth & Poole.

Full UK driving licence essential as the role covers two locations.

Lone working is required, including overnight sleep-ins. A private room is provided.
