Job summary

Bupa Mindplace Peterborough is seeking a Clinical Counselling Psychologist to support customers by delivering education on healthy living and providing high-quality therapeutic care. You will conduct assessments, offer multiple delivery models (face-to-face, telephone, video), and work within clinical and insurance-based constraints.

The role requires a professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, HCPC registration, and at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in general

Qualifications

• Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
• General adult mental health experience.
• At least 1 year's post-qualification clinical experience.
• Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
• Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
• Adhere to Bupa's case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
• Work within sessional limits based on the client's Private Medical Insurance allowance.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

This clinic operates 7 days a week, with planned opening hours of 8am-10pm.

As part of the rota, you will be required to complete one morning shift and one evening shift each week.

Your Role:

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you'll use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. You'll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best.
